These private sites which shows a list of offerings from several airlines like Jet air, Indian, Sahara etc. are popular destinations for air travel bookings because people are aware of it. Most of the indian travel can be done at about Rs.2000 including all taxes. let's compare what some private sites are offering for Mumbai to Calicut flights. The price for a ticket from Mumbai to Calicut by airindiaexpress.in is Rs.999 and with taxes and other fees it comes to Rs.1999. Same for most other inland locations. Now using cleartrip calender I checked out the cheapest rates for the same route in the same month. It comes to Rs.2181 including all taxes which is almost 10% more than what airindiaexpress.in is offerring.
So while u decide to buy a airticket, do some comparison and buy from the truly cheap sites. But do visit clear trip and yatra too because some destinations like Mumbai Delhi is offered at about Rs.1500 which is cheaper than Rs.1999 offering from airindiaexpress.in.
